PS3HAX.COM: People as like my self really want this emu, the one we got is cool in all but it just doesn't cut the mustard. I'm coming here to plea and beg for this to happen.
What homebrew do you want? - Page 29 - PS3Hax Network - Playstation 3 Hacks and Mods
Mame Plus Plus ported to ps3 as pkg, could it happen? - PS3Hax Network - Playstation 3 Hacks and Mods

Anybody up for this challenge?
A lot of people really want this homebrew, I mean personally this would almost be everything I wanted. specially if it had on-line with it, nothing would be able to beat.
For myself I don't know how to Recode software for the PS3.
But it would be pretty cool to have it setup like this.
File BROWSER
PATH: /
dev_flash
dev_flash2
dev_flash3
dev_hdd0
dev_usb
host_root
That way we don't have to use awesome file manger and dump sets of Roms/ Bio's in the ps3 its self.
Instead of using dev_hdd0/ Games/ FBAN00000/ roms/ <>
We could try this
dev_usb/ Mame/ <>
Being, FBANext PS3 was setup that way and there wasn't anyway to load roms off the USB, I tried using Notepad 2 and editing the System file (x--) Something or another, but even by changing the path set in a system file by moding it didn't work. [XML]--Path recode/ set didn't work in other words.
Just hoping for something a bit more friendly this time around.
Anybody have any thoughts on the matter or any real bright ideas on how this could be done correctly?

changing the path to my USB's folder worked fine for me.

Since MAME doesn't yet natively exist for the PS3, there's no point "requesting" it. I would love to see MAME ported, but it doesn't look like there's any developer interest just yet

Well..
That sucks, who exactly are the developer for the ps3s home-brew?
Did sony kill them?
Just saying because I've been waiting forever to get something new on ps3hax.net and it just seems to be nothing everyday.
But at first it was a lot of stuff everyday, now sony vs geohotz made it where nobody will post anything good and all I want is emulators its bull crap to the highest degree.
Note:
I guess its too hard to program stuff for the ps3, as well I heard that before somewhere that its very hard to program games and software for the ps3.
Must be just as hard for the "dev team" to create a few good homeBrew apps.
Personal Thought:
I'm sick and tired of seeing nothing but sony sue him sony did this sony banned him. I really don't care about all that, I really don't even like sony network to play games on. I never even use it, we just need somebody smart enough to take Mame Plus + and RE| Program it for the PS3 if possible.
I dunno though, it probably wouldn't have on-line, snes and sega didn't.
We need better home-brew, isn't that why we gave GeoHotz all this money to win his cort case, so we can use home-Brew apps.
I'm losing hope, its dwindling down pretty fast..
Please somebody create mame for ps3.

Whats the point? All the good games on MAME are already on FBA...

FBA only covers Capcom and NEOGEO systems. There are a whole lot more titles that MAME covers.

Since you seem to think FBANext covers everything.
Wheres
Double Dragon
Double Dragon II
Mortal Kombat I, II and III
Ultimate Mortal Kombat III
Spiderman: The Arcade Game
Golden Axe II
Captain America and The Avengers
Ninja Gaiden
Bad Dudes
So many other classic games?
I would love to see mame emulation ported over to the PS3 as well. Don't get me wrong I do appreciate FBANext. It is an excellent emulator, but Mame would be the ultimate emulator for the PS3.
