QEMU & VirtualBox + Windows XP On ps3?

I was thinking of taking a peek at the Source Code of both Qemu & VirtualBox since they are both OSS (open Soruce)

I was thinking if I can recopile the code to work on the PPC/Cell CPU that the ps3 uses. I should be able to get ether one of the programs to emulate a x86 CPU + core Drivers and get windows XP in install in a .img/.vhd and load it with ether one of these VM tools?

if I could get it to work I mite actually be able to get the ethernet and/or Wifi to work as well?

its a idea being passed around with a few of us over on my end?

any one think its possible to do? or would like to see it being done?

It is a good idea but with ps3 's limited ram size i would suggest looking for a xp black version that is scaled down in the amount of programs it needs to run and still be productive.If you need one i think i have one still in one of my files i used when refurbishing old pentium 3 laptops.

seeing that windows Xp minimanl is 96MB Recommend 128 I don;t see why I can not squee that into 256Main 256 Video memory.?

I would most likely useing Windows XP Lite Edition though. it only roughly about 198MB install. Basic Nt Kernal + Explore and IE.

on memory you need to take into account that you'll be running Windows XP on top of Qemu & VirtualBox on top of XMB

Not to mention, would have to actually make/config drivers for the PS3 hardware. Saw a video of someone who got Win 95/98 running and in the Device Man, it showed a bunch of Hardware with ?'s and there was 1 or 2 that didnt have a device name that still had ?'s
