Sure they do. And normally this is done by demanding use of the CloneCD format, which includes ".sub" as one of the 'extra' files beside the image file which holds the normal sector data (but none of the sub-channel data). I think the MDS+MDF format may also include sub-channel data, but I'm not sure if any EMUs use that format.
And this is not the sort of thing you deal with directly very often.I don't recall having to use .sub files for a long, long time. Probably wrong on that, I'm not sure, my memory is hazy at best.
Once you've prepared a folder holding the needed files for a ripped game image, you can usually deal with that folder as a single unit (except for selecting which of its files an emu should launch). So then you don't really think much about whether it is a CUE+BIN image or a CCD+SUB+IMG image.

Then it is not real sub-channel emulation that was used, but rather auto-patching of some kind.
Real sub-channel emulation (which ePSXe does support) requires access to the real subchannel data, so as to emulate its access properly.
Auto-patching may either attempt to remove known sub-channel test patterns from the game programs at load time, or to supply fake sub-channel data based on game ID. But neither of those methods is a true emulation.
They do have it for Euro users anyway. But I'm not sure if US users access the same PSN assortment that we do. All my installed games end up in folders using an game ID starting with "NPE", and I know that US PSN stuff should have a similar "NPU" prefix (and I assume japanese stuff would use "NPI", in accordance with older Sony game ID conventions)Dammit! They have Vagrant Story on PSN?loved that game, sad I missed on it.
So we may very well have a different assortment of games to choose from in each region.

@dlanor
Thanks for the input, mate. I knew ePSXe had something like that, I just couldn't remember >_<
Ahh, thanks for explaining it dlanor, always eager to learn more about what I use
Last time I was on the NA PSN, I didn`t see it, so I`m guessing it`s only for the EU/JPN PSN, shame, I missed getting the retail of that game all those years ago. How stupid I was in my adolescence.

Even having the retail disc probably wouldn't help you play it on the PS3, since I think this is one of the games that uses sub-channel protection both for the US and for the Euro releases, though I think the US test for it may be applied in different parts of the boot procedure. (Before or during the intro movie, or maybe when you attempt to leave the first room where the game starts. I'm really not sure. But I am sure it is protected.)

theres only one thing i want from this emulator true 100% .ccda audio support. i have game which so far this emulator does not have the .ccda support for Wu tang shaolin style. I have problems with the psp on this on also. I have a perfect cd rip(from my good cd cuase i have 2) and the audio plays if i mount the cd and listen to it using vlc as a media cd.
But when ever i play it on the psp or this emulator the audio seems to get cut off. Where for one song it'll play less than a sec then cut off and never play anymore. Other than the pc emulator or fpsece(windows ce emulator also known as windows mobile) I cant get get the audio working. Even the sony built in emulator doesn't work with the game(freezes as i start story mode). The only thing special about the .cdda support for the game is that during battle you can eject the cd put in a music cd and play it for the length of the battle.
So as you can see it would be nice to finally have a non pc emu that supports .cdda properly.
They released lod for psn. was kinda a silent release though
