Taking a wild shot in the dark here, but my gut leads me to thinking that it may be an issue with the Workbench version. There are packs available in the usual places that contain all the Workbenches. Google is your friend.

Edit: Looking through the pack I have, there are different versions for PAL and NTSC, such as:

    Kickstart v1.1 rev 31.34 (1985)(Commodore)(A1000)(NTSC).rom
    Kickstart v1.1 rev 32.34 (1986)(Commodore)(A1000)(PAL).rom

I think if you rename the ROM as previously mentioned, you *may* get it up and running - don't quote me on that though, just trying to find the right hammer for the right window if you know what I mean.

workbench actually isnt required with UAE, the adf images being used are bootable. the kickstart rom i'm using works in two other emulators on my PC and dreamcast, i've downloaded some other 1.3 kick roms md5's all the same, i have workbench 1.3 and 3.1 i've tried kick13 kick31. I believe the problem here is with the source code, or config file, inputting ntsc resolutions and changing ntsc=false to true does nothing.

So until a NTSC user has some success and can prove it, looks like i will wait for an update as i have spent far too much time with this crap today.

Problem is NOT with Workbenchs (they are not necesary to work any UAE i tried). I have NTSC too, similar problem. Kickstarts and ADFs are OK (i tested them).

If only one try it and works in NTSC so i will continue trying....

BTW. If my memory its OK, after KS 1.1, Video System (NTSC/PAL) is independent of KS. Agnus and Custom Chips controls video mode.

Did you NTSC folks try changing the resolution to 720x480 as well as putting ntsc=true?

I'm not sure if the ntsc parameter does anything, but I would definitely try gfx_height=480

when kickstart updated from 1.1 to 1.2 it automatically detected NTSC and PAL, only 1.1 had seperate kickstart images. so no on that one, good thinking though.

yeap. ran through several different ntsc resolutions with no success. checked param.sfo, no oddities there as far as resolutions supported. if this "ole" person has a thread or something at EOL i'd love to know, the devs need info like this. wish someone with more knowledge (like squarepusher) could shed some light, it's strange to me that this would effect USA consoles and not EUR consoles, i understood region coding was only for the BD drive. EUR games work just fine in a JB USA console. so i'm lost.

on a side note i found an excellent russian website to find old ADF images. even some rarities i thought i would never find again. so that's positive.

How is your PS3 connected? I wonder if it's a HDMI issue.
