PS3 Mednafen Latest Revision Thread!

Wait how are you running psx games off of mednafen?
What format are the PS1 games? iso/img?

Tried loading a ton of bin files and all I got was
"Larger than 64mb. If you are using a CD game -"

Then I can't read the rest of the issue. It gets cut off from the screen.

Mednafen crashed with me one time when I was playing with the menu (but not with the scale size), returned to the game and tried to call the menu again with R3. It seems to be a rare issue, and overall the emu looks stable. Next time I will pay more attetion if anything odd happens.

Anyway, the shaders are now working perfectly. Mednafen right now is becoming truly great. Robo Hobo is doing an very good job. It's nice to see squarepusher is not alone.

1st you need psx bios if you don have.youneed .cue with the .bin so you can play games.

PSX Support: Ensure that the correct BIOS file is set in the settings menu, running without a BIOS will not work on PS3 (Endian issues). To load game select .cue file describing disc. CDDA is not supported, CD copy protection is not supported, analog controls are not supported. Even the simplest parts of the simplest games won't reach full speed. Please ensure accurate file naming in .cue file, including file path, and file name case.

Ok i havent miself tested this since am ripping my game now but what i understand is that you dont give mednafen the actual .img you give it the .cue that if i remember is small. And i think it should load. Just what i believe.

And another thing i belive that the bios, .img, and .cue go in the same folder dont know yet but as soon a i test ill confirm.

I still have the directory format from ps3sx, as in place folder in root and 3 folders in, 1 for roms, 1 bios and 1 memcard. Should I be changing anything to make my games work?

EDIT: I just tried 2 games that are bin/cue and i got the same error. I'm loading the cue file of course but it ain't working. I have a folder called PCSXR in the root of my external (I changed it to that as it was called PS3SX before).

So I ain't sure what I'm doing wrong..

Well i just had my bin. and .cue file tryied to load it but it says that no system supports this.

What i belive is that i am putting the bios on the wrong place. I placed it on the same place of the roms but no luck.

I oppend the config. for mednafen and all i could find for the bios directory was this and i dont get it this is what it show's.
;Path to optional (but recommended) PSX BIOS ROM image.
pcsxr.bios scph1001.bin

What i belive is that i should make it something like this.
;/dev_usb000/Rom's/PSX
pcsxr.bios scph1001.bin

But i dont know ama test and see.

If there's a readme that tells us how and where to place folders/files, that would be great.
