PS1 on XMB

I was taking a look at my PSN bought copy of Spyro 2 today and wondered. is there anyway we can just take our psx iso and turn it into a psp eboot to play on ps3 and maybe switch the files?

i will post the structure if anyone is willing to help

I have asked a similer question. If I understand your question, here might be your answer:
When in the XMB, open the PSX folder containing your PSX game.
Connect your PSP to your PS3
Press the /\ button and select Copy.
Your game should be converted and transfered to your PSP.

As for transfering from PSP->PS3, still wondering about how to get that done. Got tons of PSX games I would like to put onto my PS3. Just wondering if there is a Dev who is making a PSX game installer that takes either a image, a Eboot or from actual CD and installs it to the PS3.

Also, dont know what the problem is, but I tried to Copy SFA2 from my PS3 to my PSP and it keeps saying I have to Sign In to users account to copy. Im guessing it is telling me to Sign In to PSN.

Yeah, you need to be signed into PSN with the account that owns the game (yours, or someone else's if it came from a Game Share) in order to transfer to PSP. It sucks Now I've taken to transferring all my PS1 classics to PSP just to get the EDAT working. Once they're transferred the first time, I can just copy them off the PSP onto my PC and save them for later.


.... though I'd give anything to be able to REVERSE the process though. Copy PS1 games from PSP to PS3, because the UK store selection of PS1 classics is a god damned insult to PS3 owners.

I have asked a similer question. If I understand your question, here might be your answer:

Im guessing none of you have heard that some guy at another fourm has gotten psp eboots working on ps3 to actually play the games, if you read my post (not trying to be mean) i am more intrested to see if we can break a PSN psx game down and swap some things and get games working using iso we own

No it is an eboot.pbp on the ps3 also.

We have another thread about this in the dev section and we have not been able to figure it out. We are gonna need the NPDRM keys to make it work and only two ppl have those and they are not gonna release them.

Well that sucks. What about releasing them as a random user name or Annon? This is something people who have tons of PSX games laying around are wanting. If I am correct, the Slim wont play PS1 Disks?Or is it just the PS2 games? I got a Phat 60GB BC so I can run both, but it would be great to be able to get them put on my PS3.

No every ps3 plays ps1 games. Only certain ones play ps2 and ps1 games.
