PrBoom - (RetroArch) - Conversion Mods and TuTs

Compatible Doom Mods & Conversions for RetroArch's PrBoom Port

In order for any of these mods to work you will need Doom.wad & Doom2.wad (most will use doom2.wad). These two wads will not be provided here. Thanks to pete_uk for help with finding dome of the Doom Wads & Patcher that work very well & for providing extracting and converting music from MIDI to MP3 for many of these conversion mods! Also a big thanks to Squarepusher for all his work with RetroArch (& the "prBoom" libretro core).


Download Doom Mods

• Download Folder #1 (These Require doom.wad or doom.wad, depending on the mod in the same folder)
• Download Folder #2 (These Require the Patcher/Merger Tool to merge the Mod with Doom.wad or Doom2.wad, See Patcher/Merger Tool below and READ ME)

• Doom WAD Checker
  - This tool will check the version of your Doom.wad & Doom2.wad
• Doom WAD Updater
  - This tool will automatically update Doom.wad & Doom2.wad to the most recent version
• Custom Doom WAD Patcher/Merger --- READ ME -- THANKS pete_uk
  - This tool patches and merges Doom Mods to be playable on the PS3 port of PrBoom

Awesome, thanks! Any hope for the PSX soundtrack for the original DOOM? I can't seem to figure out how to get sound for unmodded Doom1, 2, etc.

This emulator supports MP3 music. so if you can find the PSX doom soundtrack in MP3 format (which it should be out there) that should work now i haven't messed around or looked into the MP3 soundtracks much but pete_uk has and may have a bit more knowledge/tips then I.

I will have to review some older post and/or talk to pete_uk if you have troubles after you get that soundtrack in MP3 format.

but first see if you can get that soundtrack.

Prboom PSX soundtrack

I'm sure pete_uk or someone else has figured this out. I've been told by many that the PSX soundtrack of DOOM/2/TNT/etc is the definitive! While I don't know myself and would be similarly happy with the standard mp3 soundtrack...I think everyone here deserves to compare for themselves!

I have been extremely busy i haven't even had a chance to look into it. Not sure how much help i will be but when i get time i will see. no promises though
