While I've got these two giants of the PS3 emulator scene here in the same room, could I implore either (or both) of you to consider a ZX Spectrum emulator as your next project?
Back on-topic...
This is a great port. Many thanks for helping an aging gamer roll back the years!

Hey Robo, any chance this port has any of the old classic cheat codes enabled on them? I always found (after beating it the usual way) that it was fun to go back through and just start killing everything in site with all the guns and not losing life

Thanks for answering the questions Robo. Good to hear that FBO and shaders are coming in. Perhaps it would be a good idea if you could stick to the same basic format that S9x/Genesis Plus currently is using - so these shaders are interchangeable. Main entry point for vertex program is 'main_vertex' and main entry point for fragment program is 'main_fragment'. This way, we could set up a thread here on the forums and have one shader pack for most of the PS3 emus/apps out there. I think that could be a really good idea.
I am aware of stdio performance being really bad on the PS3 SDK, yes - it was Mr. Anonymous that first made me aware of this problem - I don't know really if libfs is any better - what I do know is that SNES9x regularly uses fopen, fwrite, fread and the like when it needs to save or load savestates - and when you trigger this ingame, there is a similar pause/stall there.
I guess I could try moving this to libfs and see if that leads to a speedup.
Mr. Anonymous also suggested to me commenting out every 'printf' - I also took the effort to comment out 'perror' in conffile.cpp (a config file class I ripped from S9x that I use for every emulator) - basically, it makes little sense to write to stdout/stderror anyway on a console unless you're in some kind of debug mode - so commenting out all this rubbish for public release versions might actually be a blessing in disguise.
Regarding the sound issues - I should talk to Themaister about it - perhaps he can think of something - unless you already have this covered.

A port of Fuse - The Free Unix Spectrum Emulator is already underway. It may be another week, two tops, before it's ready though.

Cheat codes are there, you can type them with a physical, or the on screen keyboard.

I got this already, I changed to MultiStream for sound support.

I swear... you guys are gods to us mere mortals. I don't know why you, Lantus, squarepusher, themaister, etc don't team up. You'd be unstoppable!!

Yup, totally agree. That's the TRUE spirit of homebrew -- suggesting stuff to other devs and so on. Really awesome to see that. A team would be a fantastic idea. If you want devs, I have a mumble server that ive setup for psx-scene -- you guys are more then welcome to join in and use it.

Perhaps just separate development and occasionally helping out in some ways would be a better option than being wedded to each together through some token nonsense 'team' thing - that is just to imbue it with a level of respectability and the sense that more than one-two people are actually working on it from time to time.
I don't see anything wrong with development as it is right now - everybody working at his or her own pace - just having the good common sense not to step on anyone's toes - that is a healthy scene IMO. As long as the sourcecode is all available, I can't see anybody complaining too much.

It would be interesting to make a team as was the Xport Team for the old xbox.
Having a website dedicated exclusively to the development of emulators, where developers can share information and techniques.
So the PS3 will become the new queen of emulation, an all in one HD. I have hope that will happen, step by step.
Thanks to all devs
