drk||Raziel has just posted via his blog that he is currently attempting to get the basic cross compile of NullDC to work with the open PS3 toolchain released by ooPo, in which he states:
is a lot of work as there’s no open sdk available yet
Because of this, drk||Raziel has decided to spend the next few weeks on getting the compiler/libs up to par so that we may have some usable output. For anyone interested on how he got the cross compile working, drk||Raziel simply defined a new compile target, and reused the existing linux/wii codepaths.

drk||Raziel would also like to thank everyone that donated and states:
the target to get a ps3 is already half-way reached !

It'd be awesome if the first "true" homebrew software was NullDC xD
Then we just need USB Dreamcast controller/VMU support :P

I totally understand that using Sony's SDK would be illegal. But creating an unofficial SDK isn't that hard right? First you got to know the innards of the Cell Processor, syscalls, registries, PPC opcodes which are documented on IBM's website. You also got to know the low-level RSX calls too. Then create a low-level framework in assembly. Integrate higher-level libs like stdlib, SDL, and opengles and call it a day.

Also, get some of the Demoscene to program using this SDK and we make some visual progress. Perhaps maybe even port PS2Dev to PS3 as there are already mature code in there.

This is what the kind of homebrewers that excite me as the possibilities of homebrewed apps could be endless.

Told you guys he was clever. He's helped us alot in the past with some major hurdles in PCSX2 (caching and FPU stuff) and he's just born for this kind of stuff.
    Intel Core i7 920 @ 3.4 Ghz | 6 GB DDR3 RAM in Triple Channel | GeForce GTX 285
2.5 TB Hard Drive Space | Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Official betatester of PCSX2 (currently in stealth mode) and Co-owner of General Emulation

I also donated... not much...1.31 us$...but if everyone did..maybe in a month, we could have a working alpha. 0_o
