Had to use DAP - normal downloading just kept giving me a 32k file.
You're welcome, glad it's working now =)
Blazing Lasers (PCE) worked.
California Games (LYNX) quit to XMB.
OK, come on, you're going to bash it for one game? And yeah, I could do the test with my Powerpak, or SWC DX2, or GDSF7. You know, I could even pull out the real cartridge, because as I said before, I own every cart with a Squaresoft logo on it. But I'm just not seeing the point. CT runs fine on hardware. So why would I even bother checking out it's performance on an emu that is not designed for a portable console? Back when collecting backup units was an expensive hobby and required an extensive knowledge of DOS, I could understand people relying on emus as their primary means of playing console ROMs. Now, we have inexpensive flash carts, and even a total noob can use them. There's very little excuse not to have backup hardware anymore. If you're still using emus as your primary means of playing PC Engine, SNES, Genesis, NES, and/or SMS ROMs, that's your problem (ya cheap-ass  ). And there's NO excuse for emulating these on a PC (head to the flea market, you can pick up an Xbox for under $50).
Now, if this new SNES9X actually improves sound on games that don't work on hardware, by all means, hook me up with a link to the Xbox version so I can compare the two in an apples to apples comparison (I do care if Starfox 2, Far East Of Eden Zero, Megaman X2 and X3, and Yoshi's Island are going to sound better). I'm not touching PC versions, they'd look jagged as Hell on this monitor. All I run on the PC are computer emus and MAME. And I only use MAME for vertical games (since my monitor can rotate 90 degrees), light gun games (hooking up two mice is still the best way to play Area 51 and T2, because light gun support never quite worked right on the Xbox port), trackball games (I've got a Kensington Expert Mouse, it's perfect for Centipede), and games that just won't run on any of the Xbox arcade emus (like Gauntlet Legends).
Anyway, good to hear PCE works now. Hell yeah, Blazing Lazers is a classic.
I like the new version (r22). I like that they added the bookmark feature. Now when I bookmark my ROMs directory, it highlights it in green by pressing R2 and when I boot up the emulator, the ROMs directory is on the first screen. What I did was bookmark each subfolder for each ROM console type (i.e. GBA, GBC, GG, NES, and SMS)
It's very clever! Thanks.
Heya all-just got the newest version from post #118, stil wont load past the rom directory tho-am running an original PS Jailbreak usb mod on my original 4usb port (60gb?)500gb PS3,Snes9x & FCEU run sweet az tho-jus no luck booting sms zipped & unzipped roms with any version of Mednafen yet - keeps booting me back to XMB, any help ppl?

I ran into the same bad rom problem before, reDLed, and was fine for both sms and gg roms, but now with r23 (newest I have from ps3hax), everything is working (including lynx, pce carts ((havent tried cds yet)), and wonderswan) EXCEPT GG roms....tried those both zipped and unzipped, they worked on r3 (i think it was r3...), but not now for me.....oh well, not TOO much of a loss.:D
