I was thinking of giving it a go. But how is it doing so far?
It hasn't been released yet and the last status update was September 21st, 2011
EmulateMii

Oh, I hope by march at least we get another update.
that guy scamed people for a ps3. there is no N64 emulator
Just ignore this guy, he has no idea what he's talking about.
First, EmulateMii isn't a guy, it's a team consisting of emu_kidid, sepp256 & tehpola
Second, to the best of my knowledge, that team has never asked or begged for anything in the 3+ years they've been working on emulators. They have a donation button on their site and that's about it.
Third, if there was any merit in what Cyris had to say he would have provided evidence that lead him to that conclusion. Not to mention, he's banned so that should be a pretty clear indication that he likes to run his mouth.
I have no idea what the current status of EmulateMii's ps3 port is but they have released emulators for the wii where they have a good reputation and they are certainly not scammers.
At one point there was two emulators under development by two different teams (PS364 by EmulateMii and PS64/PJ64 by N64onPS3)
N64onPS3 released 3 videos of gameplay. The third of which caused them to be labelled as fakers because of a distinct change in picture part way through the video which lead people to believe that they were using a ps3 to view the XMB and a psp to play the emulator. I don't know whether or not N64onPS3 asked for money or hardware.
