Absolutely outstanding work! Love logging in and seeing great progress like this ... first Doom, now Hexen and Heretic. Amazing stuff, though really the first post/image should be edited as it's incredibly misleading. Hermes didn't bring us Doom and Doom isn't part of this collection =)

Also, aside from the controls and .WAD paths - is there any more info to go with this? Multiple resolutions support? Sound? Remappable controls? Speed? Bugs? Issues?

am i missing something downloaded the pack on first page installed the pkgs using instal files. press on the games on xmb doesnt work. says somehitngs missing. looks for some wad file and i dont have one??? noob i know lol

You need the HERETIC.WAD and HEXEN.WAD files, mate. You can find the commercial (:P) ones on Google within a few minutes but here are the shareware (legally free) ones for the first episodes of each game;

id Software: Hexen
id Software: Heretic

Just hit the demo section to download the shareware games and copy out the .WAD files.

I downloaded a heretic.wad file thats 13mb
and a hexen.wad that's 19mb. There are a few diff ones out with diff sizes. Is it safe to assume they all work equally?

If you get ones that are larger - then it stands to reason they are full retail .WADs =)

Uh... you might not want to do that. It's my own fault for not checking them beforehand, but the links are to old floppy/DOS format installers and won't even RUN on an x64 OS. The .WAD files are packed into those archives. Oops, sorry?

On the original post of the thread (elotrolado) Hermes stated that the tv resoultion was tested not in 1080p, he wants feedback about any issue regarding the resolution, this is my translation of the paragraph:

a "virtual" screen output format. The problem is the drawing area of the PS3 is located outside of the viewable area of your monitor/screen and requires some adjustments that I have done based on my screen, and do not know if on any other (screen), can cause problems or not,
whether any other resolution requires further adjustments (one thing is to
see a slight edge to the right, for example, and second, directly, not see things that should appear (on the screen)) It distinguishes between 4:3 and 16:9
