I haven't messed with that program much at all I myself didn't have alot of mame roms (had a HDD that went bad and lost alot of stuff so had to go from scratch myself)Quote:
okay been reading around, mostly on google hits that come back from Mame 0.145.
and learned, correct me if i'm wrong, that with each mame release comes a dat file the is used to basically to "sign" the roms to that mame. in order to do that you need a separate program (clrmame) to repack each rom.
But i believe it has a few uses for checking the romsets i believe it will update a romset as well..
No libretro needs the current set, it will not convert them for you. if you find romset 0.145 you are good to go..Quote:
now what I'm wondering is, am i going to have to do that? or does the libretro allow me to cut a corner on that? it is to my understanding that if I find roms matching that set I'm good to go.
Yes i believe clrmame will do that, but again i havent used the program much at all... So my facts regarding that may be wrong.Quote:
one other question, is there anyway of doing a check to see what romset I have?
