FBANext problems? –
02-06-2012,05:31 PM
Im trying to play neogeo roms with FBANext but cant get them to work, if I use the latest build of FBA I get black screen and if I use a older build the roms dont show up I have the bios and roms in the correct place and they show up in multimanager but they wont boot. Is it the roms, Rebug CFW, FBA who knows?
Any ideas.

I only used FBA briefly on the PS3, but don't you have to configure the neo geo bios file? Can't remember if it's done in a settings file or it has to be named something specific and placed in the USRDIR

Thanks BahumatLord I will look into that but shouldn't the roms still show up in the FBA rom list.

I'm thinking the reason you're not seeing your roms in the latest build is either due to a settings error/misplaced roms or a bug in the latest build. The black screen in an earlier build is probably due to the neogeo bios not being found

I've just tried another different build of FBA and different roms and they still don't show up. So far I have tried build r438(roms don't show up), r470(roms don't show up), r486(black screen when I load fba) and r490(black screen when I load fba). I've tried different neogeo roms downloded from different sites/torrents and still no luck.
Can anyone with REBUG CFW try some neogeo roms with FBA and post the results, it would be much appreciated.

put your bios (neogeo.bin) in the fba usrdir. If that doesn't work, I'll download a couple roms and try it

I have the roms showing up now and here was my problem. The folder created by FBA in the usrdir named roms was where I was putting them as you would assume but the .xml files states that the path is /dev_hdd0/game/ROMS00000/FBA/<path> so I created the folders and placed the bios and roms in it and it worked. Thanks for your help BahumatLord
