.Zip/.7z/.rar file extensions are supported.

Notes
Don't ask about roms. We dont know where to find them.
Don't bother the official FBAlpha team about FBANext PS3 or Xbox 360 ports.
Please use the source code respository (linked below) to report any issues you find.

You know, the differences between something like ******.com and psx-scene.com are becoming ever harder to spot. Only thing missing is a Warez section but other than that, well, spot the differences.

Sound wobble is going to be the same regardless of which system you run. CPS3 runs at fullspeed (60fps) even with shaders at least.
Probably just some thing in the sound that needs to be sorted out rather than any apparent performance issues. Will have to talk Themaister into looking at it perhaps :shhh.

Can someone explain which shaders are doing what? and which to use as best?
Shader performance is the same as SNES9x PS3 - however, they are a bit more recent than the one from the last release (SNES9x PS3 4.4.1) - the only difference is that SuperEagle, Super2xSai and Scale2xPlus now look correctly.
Basically, SuperEagle, Super2xSaI, Bloom and Curved CRT are all too slow at 1080p 16:9.
Either of the following shaders will run at fullspeed at 1080p 16:9 -
- Lanzcos12/Lanzcos16
- HQ2x
- Scale2xPlus
- 2xSaI
- 4xSoft
- AdvancedAA (but it doesn't look properly yet because it's missing a few params)
- MCGreen (this is a Game Boy-esque green filter, doesn't do you much good for FBA)
- Blur
- Scanline
- Stock
If you want to see a performance chart of the shaders, go look at the SNES9x readme file.
https://code.google.com/p/snes9x-ps3...S9x-README.txt
The shaders don't really have any performance hit on the game that is running unless the RSX can't manage it - then it will halve the FPS and you're down to 30fps - and that just plain sucks.
So the performance chart in the SNES9x README should correspond to all emulators that use the same shaders right now - FBA, FCEU, SNES9x (and VBA soon).

I am playing Metal Slug 3 on FBANext-PS3 right now. You need to get the right ROMset for FBA probably.
I am doubtful that your ROMs would work on the latest version of FBA if they don't on PS3 - they're probably MAME ROMs you're using - and MAME likes to screw around with the filenames every so often in ROMs for 'authenticity reasons'.

Don't bother with that - just go and find a ROM that is known to work on FBA, not patching up old / new MAME/FBA ROMs of the games.
Also, you will need a neogeo BIOS zip file that is known to work on FBA.
Here is a search string you can type into Google that sets you on the right path:
'FB Alpha v0.2.97.08 - '
can't help you much more than that, sadly.

ROMs are bad - find new ones that work with Final Burn Alpha. (latest version)
CPS3 games are confirmed as working - I have played them.
Neo-Geo games are confirmed as working - I have played them.
In short, every game pretty much is supposed to work. If it doesn't, your ROM is bad - and you have to figure out the leeching part yourself, as (as far as I know) it's against the rules to tell people where to get ROMs.

PS: If anyone knows where to make changes to sources to disable fps counter then let me know and I'll do another build.
I could tell you (and you could find it out yourself - it's really easy to locate), but seriously, wouldn't it be better to just wait until Lantus makes a proper release?
Most of the time, homebrew devs don't like it when people pre-emptively make builds from their work that are half-broken or still far removed from perfect. Causes splits, causes some to create forks or cease work altogether on projects.
As for myself, I don't care most of the time if people want to make unofficial builds, and perhaps Lantus doesn't care - and in a way, having multiple people at once try out a test version at once is better than having one or two people do it. Gives a better idea of what problems people are having with it.
I'm just saying that maybe you should give Lantus some time and an appropriate release window so that he can release a build in the not-too-distant future that will please everyone.
