    Hiya. I've got SNES, Genesis, FCE and VBA roms showing up under the rom column in MultiMAN. Roms for FBA however, do not show up, even though the path in the MultiMAN options.ini (/dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/roms) is correctly configured.

    I've double-checked this several times by now, so I doubt it is a configuration issue in the .ini. The roms show up and play just fine after accessing the FBA emulator itself, but do not show up in MultiMAN. Any ideas?

    Configure it like this.

    /dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/roms/ add the dash at the end of the path, lower cap for roms is really important.Also make sure the roms folder is called roms not ROMS.

    I've noticed that FBA is very type sensitive. So it should be ROMS not roms and it should be fba and not FBA in the path. For example I use my external HDD for an example: /ROMS/fba If I type in capitals FBA, it won't find them. I know that multiMAN is also the same way.

    One thing though, you should not keep your ROMS in the emulator folder. The reason for this is that each time you update the emulator, you risk getting your ROMs wiped out. Right now, I am having a big issue with how it wipes out my save games each time I update it. So keep that in mind. It is best to create a folder called /ROMS/fba for your fba roms either on your external or internal HDD. You can do the same for other roms (examples) /ROMS/NES ; /ROMS/SNES, and etc.

    Thanks for the replies.
    I tried both suggestions, but the roms still do not show up.

    please list here your paths so I can see where the issue is. Also in multiman, have you tried running the game retro scan, to see if they get fetched? Also do a game cache clean, that also helps.

    Thanks!
    FBA rom path: /dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/ROMS.
    I have 2700 FBA roms. Maybe it's too much?

    Multiman options.ini file:

    fba_self=/dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/RELOAD.SELF
    fba_roms=/dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/ROMS

    Okay, thank you for your pictures. What you need to do is rename your ROMS folder to roms (not using capitals). /dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/roms -- I know that multiman asks for the ROMS folder to be capitalized, but the emulator requires it to be not capitalized and that is where this conflict is--this is why I preferred that the ROMS folder to be put on a different directory, see below for more details.

    Also keep in mind what I said before, that it would be best not to use the emulator folder to keep your ROMS because if you later happen to update the emulator, it can wipe out all your ROMS.

    What I prefer is use either the root of my external or internal HDD and have a folder in there called "ROMS". (all capitals--it's fine when you do that). So my directory on my internal looks like this: /dev_hdd0/ROMS/fba -- it is important that fba is written in small caps. In that "fba" folder I keep all the games for FBANext.

    Another question? Have you manually edited the options.ini file in multiMAN? If you have, please revert it back to default. Because probably you wrote something there that isn't working for you. If not, don't worry.

    Once you do this, please go into multiMAN, do a retro scan (found on the retro game column in the XMMB) of all your retro games and let multiMAN find them all--it may take a long while if you have many games. Once the column stops circulating that it's scanning, you will know it is done and then go ahead and load your fba games--just keep in mind that not all fba games work--that is something you will have to learn--this is why we are asking for the developer of the emu to allow us to be able to delete the game if it doesn't work for us.

    I've tried all the suggestions in your post, I even tried re-installing MultiMan, but no luck.
    I think I might just have too many roms :\

    What is your current directory where you are keeping your ROMS?

    I tell you that I also wrestled with this, because FBANext doesn't like the folder name ROMS to be capitalized, and MM wants the folder fba to not be capitalize. It was like a tug of war. I know I could have just edited the options.ini file to adjust it to my liking, but I instead chose to just put my FBA roms in my external HDD and both MM and FBANext was able to fetch them. That is why I recommended the above method for you above. BTW, it is best to only put FBA Roms inside the fba folder--this way they are less to fetch.

    Straight answer. The limit of roms in the xmmb Retro Column is 2560, well actually each column in the xmmb has a limit of 2560(MM v2.01.00).

    That is what you are asking, right(if not disregard my post LOL)? So my answer to your dilemma would be to make a new folder for your fba roms. Find out how many roms you already have showing up in the Retro column from your other emulators and and find the difference from 2560. Copy all your FBA roms to a 2nd folder and delete the right amount of 'unneeded' roms from the first folder.

    You want the full romset open, then load up FBA. You want to jump straight to one of your favourite arcade classics then hit the Retro Column.

    Good Luck and enjoy
