Emulators not working on kmeaw 3.55
Emulators not working on kmeaw 3.55 –
hello everyone, stopped lurking and finally joined. yesterday i finally made the move after holding off on updating my ps3 to kmeaw so i can play some old, old, old games. this is where i ran into trouble.
first off, i have a phat 80gb ps3. i installed multiMAN ver 02.01.00 (20110619-020500) which itself does seem to be working other than when i try to launch a game from it.
I also installed the multiMAN emu pack (20110611) from this, fbaNEXT does not work. I have tried all sorts of versions of it. It will simply not work. It either launches and finds no roms or if it does, and this is just an assumption, it makes my ps3 hang and all i get is a black screen. I tried the latest version, r486 and the older - r478, r452, etc. and i keep getting the same result.
i have tried reading as much as possible on it, i know the r486 black screen seems to be a problem for many people, but i while they can run the older versions, i get the same problem repeatedly.
also, for kicks and to see how it runs, i installed Mednafen, went to my ROMS/snes/ folder at root in my hdd0 (tried to centralize my rom collection) and all it did was stall the PS3 once i attempted to boot donkey kong.
any tips on getting these ****ers working?
I think you need to either copy roms to the rom folder in each emulator subdirectory, or you need to edit your emulator settings to point them to the rom location. Putting 8 thousand roms in one spot is not usually a good idea in regards to performance.
I have them pointing to their own rom folder but i will move them out. I mostly did it so when i remove or update the emulators, the roms don't automatically disappear as well. I see what you mean tho, so i will diversify. So far i only have like 20 snes roms so its not that big of a problem.

well, i have one, the snes9x that comes in the emu package. problem is that it won't launch from multiMAN, which **** it, i can live with, just trying to smooth things out. The main hurdle is getting fbaNEXT to work so i can play some metalslug and shooters.
