Great news. Thanks!
I've tried to get MPXPlay working but after all the fine-tuning it still stutters badly and freezes sometimes but it looks promising :chinscrat
Odd because the system requirements are quite small:
Anyway, those who want to try it out, here's the link: DosBox_PS3_MPXPlay.zipQuote:
CPU: Intel 80486 100mhz (DX4-100) or above
RAM: 4-8Mb
Again, it stutters and freezes your ps3 sometimes. But no brick risk...
And it's 7.6MB big because it already includes a (free) mp3/mashup, for testing.
More instructions are in the archive... I've made it noob-proof
Sidenote... Those who want to mount folders from the ps3's hdd:
1. Use openps3ftp (or something similar) and create a folder inside dosbox's USRDIR:
/dev_hdd0/game/HBDB90000/USRDIR/yourfolder
2. open /dev_hdd0/game/HBDB90000/USRDIR/.dosbox/dosbox-0.74.conf and add this at the very bottom (after [autoexec]):
mount c ~/yourfolder
C:
You can create more folders in there and mount them as d, e, and so on... just edit dosbox-0.74.conf.
Too bad we can't use symlinks for linking c to /dev_hdd0 or d to the bd drive. Or can we?
