Forgot to add, with a PC you can use a Quickshot or any old school joystick. Also Gamebase64 allows you to play Sid files.
I think you could use a joystick by piggy backing a PS3 controller. Bit more expensive though with the cost of the PS3 controller. That's the way i do it on the PC, just use any USB game pad and just solder the joystick to the pad connections.

if we only had a n64 emulator for the ps3
i would also love to see a gamecube emulator for it,and a dreamcast one ,and also 3do
but i think it would be awesome if they had a ng4 and a gc emulator for the ps3 that had support for adaptoids, both for ng4 and gc controllers and have them both be interchangable so that you could use the gc adaptoid for the n64 emulation ,would be awesome if i could connect my wavebird to my ps3 via a usb adaptiod and play ng4 and gc games on it
whatever happend to the dolphin port anyways?
would also be nice if someone incorporated a n54 emulator into dolphin ,either for ps3 or pc or both
i mean it can already n64 games via vc and wads cant it?
the funny thing is too that we have had a saturn emulator since day one ,and from what i have read it is one of the hardest systems to emulate for some reson ,i forget why exactly, something to do with the sound chip/s i think
also i was shocked at how fast a gc/wii emulator(dolphin) was released and how good it was,as compared to how long it took to get a good 64 emulator
it almost seems like wii and gc are easyier to emulate than n64,but then again there are n64 emulators for phones and lots of platforms, and no gc wii emulators

Playable N64 emulators have been around since early 1999 (UltraHLE), i remember being blown away playing high res mario 64 on my p233 with 3dfx card, no longer would my eyes bleed with the shite resolution and blur of N64 games!
Dolphin still requires a powerful PC to run games at full speed, even my average P2.5gz dual core (overclocked), 4gb ram, 64bit vista, nvidiagts250....not top of the range by any means but struggles to run any wii game more than 6-8fps, wii sports isnt too bad but mario kart is unplayable, so like for like Dolphin isnt a UltraHLE by any means but beef up your PC and I'm sure its a great experience, just don't expect a decent playable PS3 port (if it happens)...

I want a fully working Sega Saturn & Dreamcast emulator for the PS3. I loved those two older gaming systems.
HYBRID MAN!
