XPloder HDTV Player –
A few days ago I heard about the marvelous XPloder HDTV Player for the ps2. For those of you who dont know its a program that allows you to play your ps2 games in High Definition and almost rival the Xbox 360 in graphics. Well I obtained the elf of this and got it to run on my ps2. My problem is though that whenever I try to switch between HD video modes my screen goes black. I have a Toshiba Regza 1080p HD TV so it cant be the TV. Im thinking it could be because I have the stock video cables that came with the ps2? Do I need to buy some component video cables for the ps2 in order for XPloder to work?
I just tried this, and got it to work with my real games. 480i/480p work in full screen, 720p in full widescreen but top and bottom are squished, 1080i is very small but my tv has a zoom feature.
Also, is there any way to get this to boot backups? I tried using the memcard ESR like I do to get HDLoader to read my ESR discs, but this wont boot after using that.
lmao from the reviews i read about it thats what ive heard. "Wow I thought I was playing a 360 until I looked at the controller at my hands!!". Well thanks i just wanted ot make sure it wasnt the elf or anything and the fact that i didnt wanna waste my money on getting those expensive component cables.
You need to use the regular ESR not the homebrew ESR and it will work.
