The main proublem is that the PS2 can not use the full power that it has for just one app (in this case the Emulator) as the PSP does.. Plus the PSP can also run at 333MHZ.. However the PSP still has a more RAM in the long run at 2MB's on board running at 166MHZ while the PS2 only runs at 147MHZ with no on board RAM..
~Take note as well before any one starts talking about switchin MHZ with in modded PSP's.. After the 3.50 Firmware all games with in the game folder would run at 333MHZ..
Many peaple did not like this and so the switchable MHZ is available for a moded psp.. This was mainly do to battery life consumption on the PSP~
The PSP on the other hand can stop all process from previse software running on it at will.. Then use the full power to run homebrew and use all the power needed from within the handheld..
If you notice thats why some apps while using IRShell will not work or has lag do to the main app (IRShell) using the resources first..
The same applies to the PS2..
However if some one can make an Emulator that will not use as many resources as others then it is possible to use X32 and what not on a Sega Emulator..
Good Post thou NeverGoingBack.. I for one would like to play Dragons Layer as well as Sewer Shark once again as well..
