Using the FTPD Server. –

OK, I wanted to be able to FTP onto my PS2, and make backups of my memory card game saves etc. The FTPd looked the ideal trick, but I cannot get it working...
I have downloaded PS2Link v1.22 and added the IRX module for the FTPD, I have also set my IP settings in the IPCONFIG.DAT (192.168.1.5 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.1) IP, Mask, Gateway. And recreated the image usign CDGEN.
The image boots fine, shows the PS2Link boot screen, shows the correct IP configuration, but I cannot FTP into it.. Is there something else I need to do?
Thanks.

ps2link doesnt have a ftp server, you can however load the ftp server via ps2link.

just load the irx by having ps2link loaded on the ps2 and from the pc with whatever client you are using.
for example iopexec ps2ftpd.irx ( if you are using pksh ).

where do I get a compiled version of FTPd? I only found source files and I do not have a C compiler.

Either wait until there is a release, or install the toolchain and compile it.
