hi i would like to watch dvds from other regions on my ps2. i know that region-free is one of the features provided by Action Replay, but i don't want to purchase this software just for this feature. Does anyone know of any free elf that i can run that can do this?
Thanx very much

You can try to boot mcloader using a memory card to get access to "region-free" feature.

thanx for your reply, i just downloaded mc loader from ps2savetools. However in the readme it says that the dvd-region free feature does not work for consoles NTSC V5 to V10. Do you think it would work on a PAL V9 ps2?
Thanx again

I don't know how mcloader makes PS2 dvd-region-free. I saw another homebrew application that was supposed to turn PS2 into a region-free player by patching console's BIOS but it doesn't work for me. Btw, my copy of DVD Region-X (the software from developers of Action Replay) doesn't work on SCPH-3900X and later consoles (it asks for a special code).
