testdb.cff (cosmic cheat)

Hi everyone, I have been able to get cosmic cheat working, but it will not load my codes. I edited the testdb.cff in notepad, and still, nothing. Any suggestions?

Cosmic Cheat loads from host:/ instrad of from mc0:/testdb.cff and the memory card lib. functions aren't loaded until the list is loaded, so you can't hex edit to work. You'll need to get fakehost.IRX and fake the testdb.cff from your hard drive.

So sounds to me like ur saying all u need to do to get this to work is to have fakehost.irx which is from PS2sdk and load the IRX and CFF onto the HDD and it then CC should work? If im wrong correct me.

Just put the code list and elf on a hdd partition. Boot launchelf and use that to boot Cosmic Cheat. Problem solved.

How would I go about putting this on my HDD? I tried this earlier, but couldn't figure it out. (I'm noobish)

Make a cd with your files. Put the cd in your ps2. Boot LaunchELF. Use LaunchELF to move the files from cd to ps2 hdd.

OR

Boot ExecFTP. Connect to your ps2. Mount your hdd. Send files to partition mounted. Boot elf with launchelf.

i completely forgot about that. i think i have a fakehost loader somewhere on my hard drive. Ill have to find it.

So all I have to do is make a file on my HDD say I name it Cosmic_Cheat then load the ccheat.elf and testdb.cff into it. Then load it thro launchelf (does it matter which version launchelf it is) and it works no need for the fakehost.irx file?

and <G> what fakehost loader are u using cuz i really need one.

our own fakehost loader made during the old dms3 dev.1 days. Thank goodness i never released it.
