Might I suggest using ps2reality's mcloader 1.10? With it, it is possible to virtualize files on different devices.
For instance, your copy of naplink looks for it's files on cdrom0:
With mcloader 1.10, it can pretend those files are there on cdrom0: while they're really either on your memory card, network, or compressed in a RAR 2.x archive.
Kamilion, a similar problem has been bugging me for a while. I've read the documentation that comes with PS2Reality's MCLoader, along with the very informative readme on PS2 Save Tools. However, my project is a bit different. I may have just read your post wrong, but is it possible to run code through PS2VFS without copying it to the memcard? I have a couple of programs that look to the CD to run, and are also too large to put on my memcard. I would love to be able to run these on a friend's unmodded PS2.
Thanks!!!
