I need to tranfer ISO to HDD via LAN. My current setup is HDL Dumb 0.8.6 and HDL server in OPL. However, the speed is quite slow, 1.75 MB/s, compare to direct jump to PC's IDE port for around 27 MB/s. Is there anyway to improve the transfer rate?

    Not really.

Some people made a UDP_only version of the HDL installer (v0.9), to eliminate the time-consuming TCP handshaking methods, but that inevitably leads to unreliable installs. And even a doubled speed is not worth that cost.

Personally I prefer to play the games via LAN instead, so they never have to be installed on any media connected directly to the PS2, but simply exist as ISO files stored on my main PC.

That method naturally requires you to use OPL rather than HDL.

Thank you. A bit sad to know that there is no way now.
