Finally ScummVM released for PS2!!!
http://www.scummvm.org/downloads/
I hope it'll as good as it is on PSP.![]()
Thanks for the info. I'll definitely have to try this out![]()
I just tried it out and it's brilliant! Played a few oldies like Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island 2 and no problems, no slowdowns etc. so far.![]()
I just tested it with Full Throttle (tell me about Proust and his madeleine), it runs close to perfectly. The only problem is that sometimes there's some kind of freeze. Still, I assume this comes from the access times since I played from USB, this could probably be avoided by playing from hdd.
About USB support, you might like to know that the IRXs are external to the program, so if your USB stuff isn't supported all you have to do is retrieve the USBD.IRX and USB_MASS.IRX you use on, say, uLE and it's ok![]()
Amazing stuff!!!!!!!!
After 10 long years, I can back to play Full Throttle
Just few minutes ago I have stopped to play.....works very fine
Related to Gnom problem with freezes, I have changed Audio frequency to 22Khz....now there are minus freezings in-game.
The only issue is when you'll change from an area to other....sometimes it last a few seconds. But still very very "playabe"
Oh yeah, those freezes I mention are suite rare and don't last more than 1-2 seconds. I'll try it from hdd when I have time. I'll also try your 22 kHz trick but if the quality difference is audible I prefer the freezes. Not sure it will be though since sound is not that good anyway...
For me a bit lower sound quality isn't a problem, since I have to use my PS2 linked to TV sound and my TV have just Mono channel.
So, even with 44Khz the sound isn't that great thing
As with SNES-Station, I prefer to have low sound quality but faster game speed.![]()
Oddly enough since I'm using a USB Flashdrive (Not an external USB HDD or internal HDD), I seem to have hit that bug that a few people have mentioned on the ScummVM's PS2 port forum.
I am using the 0.12v3 modified version instead which a member of the forum backported a number of fixes from the later 0.13(.01) and 1.0rc1 versions.
It's frustrating that I can't seem to figure out why it won't work with my Flashdrive but at least FullThrottle sounds and plays nicely. Although it'd be nice to have a virtual keyboard like on the DS version since I don't have a compatible old basic usb keyboard anymore.

Please help me, I dont know how to use this program. I downloaded, decompressed and put the files in my usb pen drive, I overwrite the usb.irx file with ULaunchef's one.
When I start the .elf nothing happend, but when I press a button there is a screensaver like a dna string. Where do I have to put my Sam and Max files?
Ah finished Full Throttle using this on my ps2. Works very well for the adventure parts but the smash/crash derby thing is a bit unwieldly took me a while to get it all worked out :P.
