to run it you need to put a ps2 cd into the tray (i used my codebreaker 8) to get it to run, or else it will just freeeze up

I use 9.0, without the need of a PS2 CD or DVD on the tray.

Yes, a Matrix Infinity. I can boot if from DMS HDD Explorer or ulaunchELF.

Don't know much about exploits, but at least it works for you in some way.

I tried 9.2 off the HDD, but all i got was black screen.

If your PS2 browser detects a non-Sony HDD, then CodeBreaker will also. For non-Sony HDDs you need ATAD auto patching, which some modchips have. If you have a Matrix Infinity, you can enable it in the settings.

SIDENOTE: Your HDD has to be atleast 40GB large, otherwise it will not detect, even if you have ATAD patching enabled.

Has any one tried hex editing the atad.irx with-in the Codebreaker ELF file? Just wondering because if I had the ELF I'd hex patch it, shouldn't be any harder than the other manual patches if you know what to look for. I'd write a tuto when I was done for others to do.

I'm going to check ebay and p2p for Codebreaker 9.2.

Well downloaded a copy off p2p and i'm starting to check it out be I believe the elf is packed so that may be a prob. I post again when I know more.
