    I have been trying to make the ps2 reality mediaplayer to autoplay a movie without interaction from the user.I used hex workshop and noticed a file named AUTOPS2.TXT that he reads from the root.If you create this file in the format
    FOLDER\MOVIE.AVI and save it it loads the selected movie by default.The problem is that it still displays Language select and the licence agreement(this is a beta release bla bla ....push start)Is there any way to Edit the file to make it skip these too and use english by default??Is there any temporary input variable that I can set by default to a fixed value?

    I once removed all the screens and messages to make everything nice'n'fast. Worked with older versions but the 1.50 always hangs after 7 minutes of playing if modified.

    Maybe I messed up something. Dunno. Haven't tried it again.

    that's why it uses unrar.irx modules, in fact all resource files are compressed, i also found the offset which are for the first archive 0x00112038 and for the second 0x00141618 , just do a text search of Rar! in the hex code and you will find those offset

    Man you are a genious.I found the Rar! in the hex and managed to exctract them.Now my problem lies in how to replace them.I used WInrar 2.71 (the oldest version I could find) with no special settings to replace the JPG that I wanted and then by hex workshop cheecked the file.In the downloaded part2(the fist Rar there is in the hex when opened displayed Unexpected end of archive)Even by extracting it myself.The dowloaded part1 have differences in the last bytes to the code inside the elf but when opened did not display error message so I tried upadating this archive but no luck.every file that winar created is very different to that one.

    --TO the rest of the forum.I have been trying to make mediaplayer Lite.I wanted to make it skip the boot skreens.This is my progress so far
    -At first about the language select menu-->Easy.Just save a configuration to the memory card and it will be no more(Easier that Hex editing)
    -Then the disclaimer(Ps2 reality is not responsible ...bla bla bla ....press start)
    This was quite easy of course.Used hex workshop located the text in the elf file and replaced it with 000s..THe black screen display for a while but no text.
    -Now the menu.use the AUTOPS2.TXT file and the movie starts after the previous screen.
    -And here is the hard part.The licencia2.the noal***,2,3.jpg and the ps2rteam as well as the logos.bin.
    For the Jpg I used ps2 disassembler.Searched for the file name and when I got to the name I pressed space and f3.Then it sended me to where there a pointer to that file.

    In the Image I attach in the yellow I have the refference I found.in the red is some other refference and in orange is the code in hex.I suspect the addiu is the input for the subroutine and the daddu the exit of it.Though I am not an expert in the ps2 platform I used the hex workshop to replace the first digits of the addiou(in our case the grey 30 in the orange box)and the program failed to load the images.

    Now the side-effects.This tip does not work in the logo.bin(which one is the ps2realitys that the system begins?)The system boots with the bin and then when failling to load the images instead of showing black screen it distorts the ps2reality logo add something error and shows a nice crash screen.It still loads but That is not what I wanted.Any idea?Is there any way to make the program go from the first logo.bin file to the Press start or even the menu skipping everything else?

    I also had the idea of just replacing the JPG with Black ones hence the c0d3x idea.But I cannot reinsert the Rar! in the code and make it work.

    if you want to see the .bin logos use adobe photoshop loading the file as raw...

    Actually I donnot want to see them I want to delete!!! them.Thanks for the input anyway....I will run some further test and let you know of the results.

    At 0x11961c you see "lui v0, $001e". That loads the upper part of the register with 0x1e, and at your location marked in yellow the value 0xf30 is added to the value in register v0 and the result is placed into register s3, which then holds the offset to the line "licencia2.jpg".

    At 0x119658 s3 is copied to a2. Then at 0x119664 there is a jump to a subroutine, which is propably where it loads licencia2.jpg.

    Another occurence at the place marked red but not enough code visible to see what's happening there.

    Finally thanks to Zer0-X I got rid of the licence screen.What I did was to go to offset 0001964A and replace the 46 C6 04 0C with 00 00 00 00.This worked.but I noticed that this subroutine is used 53 times in the program.I don't think it is only for the Licence diplay but since it worked I am not touching it.

    Now the final piece(I hope so)The ps2rteam.jpg.It seems quite similar than the previous one but the trick does not work here.It does also have 2 occurences to the previous FNC_00131918 but replacing the first one fails to load the program (actualy after the ps2reality logo it gets to the ps2 browser???????????)and the second one loads the files as nothing has changed.I include a picture of the code.

    Also some personal questions.Once a subroutine is executed it returns to the place that the program called it and continues from there just as in the pc?What symbol states the end of the subroutine?(I think Jal is what calls it)

    ps2rmp_patch anyone? ;P

    my ps2rmp is heavily hex edited.. i replaced the "push start" screen with a simple "welcome" to remove all the bullshit, and all the titles are changed like hdadvance. - however i was never able to remove the licence jpeg.

    i'm gonna try the licence remove when i get home. good work!

    the "ps2reality" screen which appears every time you want to do something is very annoying too. it would make the program 100% better if you could remove it :\
