Real Media Player for PS2

Does anyone know if there is a mod for playing real media, ie rm, rmvb on the PS2? If not, is it possible for someone to write a homebrew for playing these type of files? or is there somewhere I can post to make these type of requests?

I know there is one of homebrews for the xbox that allows playing of real media, is it possible to migrate it to the PS2?

Keep in mind that both Xbox systems are very similar to a PC. They both use Windows. So it's much easier to take an open source Windows app and port it over to the Xbox. The PS2, on the other hand, is a completely unique architecture, so programs have to basically be rewritten for the PS2.
