    Hello everyone.

    time for my first Post.

reading all the threads about the hdd and everything...

hope nobody kills me for this ;-)

ive got a pal ps2 with the european networkadapter which is basically the same as the japanese one. (only ethernet).

Everybody is talking about building a cable to plug an ide hdd to it. I've tested it with a 20Gig IDE . it fits perfect to the connectors and in the slot.
Turning on the PS2 i hear the hdd spin up.
    so this works..

So i ordered me the BB NAvigator 0.20 just for fun to see if it will work.
nope.. only getting a black screen..

looking at the navigator disc it basically consists of an hddinst.elf
one source.tgz file containig rpms and tars. and some other stuff.

shouldnt it be possible to patch this ELF file so it will work on any PS2 ?

anyone from Germany around with the PS2 Linux Kit to try abit around with this ?

    Any helpful Ideas ?

    Greetz
