PS2Reality Mediaplayer help –
I have been having problems with the sound, it plays for like 5 minutes perfect then the audio seems to go slower the the picture. But this only happens when i make the movies using Vir. Dub. I use these plugins, for video compression i use: Divx Mpeg 4 Fast motion plugin at either 900 or 1000Kbs. And for audio i use: Mpeg Layer-3 at 56kBs 24,000 Hz stereo 7KBs. I would like to hear what other people are using so that maybe i wont be having this problem anymore. Thanks alot.
It's probably a problem with your frameserver for the avi. and .wav stream generation. I had trouble with this when I tried using RipItAlll with certain movies with interlacing and telecine and such. Try using EZDVD2VCD (just search on that and you should get some good hits). The tutorials you'll find tell you how to set it up for using TMPGEnc to create VCD/SVCD/DVD compliant streams, but you can use it to create a DIVX stream by changing one thing. Follow the tutorial for loading your source and selecting video and sound options. Instead of "Saving Project (F4)" to create the .wav file and .d2v file for TMPGEnc, select "Save AVI" from the File drop down menu. This will open a dialog to choose the codec you want to use.
You can choose your version of DIVX you want to use and configure the settings. This will generate a DIVX AVI with no sound and a wave file in perfect synch. All you need is a utility to compress the audio to MP3 and stitch the two together. I do it with RipItAll, since I've saved a default profile that automatically selects my temp folder directories and only the audio compression settings (128kbps MP3) and to merge the 2 files with audio synch. A bit tedious, but I always got a perfect synch going this route.
I think it is built off of DVD2AVI, so you could probably use that to frameserve as well.
Ok thanks alot, ive been waiting forever for a reply to this, ill have to give that a try.
