the problem is execftp that send another 220 response after the user statement by the pc so the client think about a problem, you need to use a unthouched ps2ftpd irx (i'm doing my elf version but i have some problem with the upload of files) or use flashfxp which is quite flexible

    Hey can anyone help!!

I followed this tutorial and installed PS2 Menu-K and have ran Execftp off the CD using PS2 Menu and it connects fine but the part where it says to create a folder on mc/0 called EXECFTPS when I try this CuteFTP tells me:

    STATUS:> Checking directory existence: "/mc/0/EXECFTPS".
    COMMAND:> CWD /mc/0/EXECFTPS
    250 CWD command successful.
STATUS:> PWD skipped. Current folder: "/mc/0/EXECFTPS".
STATUS:> Remote directory already exists: "/mc/0/EXECFTPS".

It seems to think it already exists but when I hit refesh I cannot see this folder anywhere.

Is it ok to put these files into the BEDATA-SYSTEM folder along with the others?

    Using a PAL V7 PS2 (hence the BEDATA-SYSTEM)

    Thanks!!

EDIT: Basically ANYTHING I try and copy to the MC it says the file already exists when it doesnt! HELP!

EDIT2: Fixed it, looks like it was either the FTP client and/or ZoneAlarm. Using WS_FTP now which works perfectly. FlashFXP doesnt even work lol!

And of course that post is four years old. you may want to try google's cache or an internet archive site for those pages.

Are you just pointing out that an old link is no longer working, or do you really need help with transfering files between your PS2 and your PC via Network? If the later, then you should know that method is really out of date. The current best method would be using uLaunchELF's Host module, with a program running on your PC like ps2client (DOS), found in the same thread for uLaunchELF, or RadHostClient (Windows), etc. I don't have time to write up a full tutorial right now, but here's a short step-by-step on how to do this here. Please note this thread is also old, but it's still pretty much accurate, just change "mcPaste" with the new uLaunchELF function "psuPaste", if you are trying to backup your game saves.
