PS2 Mp3 player
PS2 Mp3 player –
I tried the MP3 players for the PS2 (PS2 reality player & Paradox's MP3 player) and notice that the sound has quite a high level of distortion in the background. This becomes even clearer when Kenny G's sax is being played. Bass tracks a quite ok, as the distortion focuses around the 1-5khz region of the sound spectrum.
Are the two players using the same MP3 decoder, as both of them sounded awful and iritating when I hooked my PS2 to my Arcam amplifier and Mission speakers. Well, at least on computer speakers it sounded far better due to the lower fidelity. Any other MP3 players for the PS2 that is on par with the quality sound found on Winamp?
How can i get theas mp3 players? Wich one is easyer to use?
if you can play psx backups on ps2 can you play the psx mp3 player on ps2? (from paradogs.com)
Re: PS2 Mp3 player –
I tried using other MP3 CDs, some even encoding up to 192kbps sampling. There is still some distortion in the mid frequency range. I've been trying to find some other MP3 players for the PS2 which sounds as good as Winamp, but think its just to early. Are the source codes for the MP3 players by paradox or PS2reality player available for download? Maybe its possible for some of us hard core programmers to find how to make the player sound better and offer more functionality.
