Hi,

Dear Dussel
totally different task so no... improving codec and changing some byte here and there are two REALLY BIG different things:
first of all you should recompile the latest divx codec for using with ps2 proc with chance that it won't run anyway because of some tech point: like diffenrent data lenght wich differs between pc and ps2 (int128).
second point, you should localized where the old divx codec is in the Ps2MediaPlayer (good luck...) and replace it (Impossible Mission 3) and then cross the finger to see if it work (wich i doubt a LOT)
Ps2MediaPlayer will not be updated anymore and there's no chance to improve the actual version. The only chance we can get is to have an other dever who culd write an other MediaPlayer without always crying for support and for what people say about it.
Cheers

Ps: the only change i can see for ps2mediaplayer is change the cdvd irx so we could read from the hdd wich could improve performance (1-2fps more i think) but hey... who could do that?
Hermes could and may do that in his upcomming MCLoader v2.0 release.
I have a feeling that he may patch the player for hdd support just as he patched it before for cdx images to be handled. But thats just skepticism. All I know for a fact is that it will have "surprising and new features."
