PS2 Media Player Problems

Hmm I can't seem to get this to work.

I downloaded the pre-done 1.50 media player. I burnt it on a cd. Since I have a no-solder modchip, I booted up the gameshark. Then when I swap disc to the burnt media player and press X, the CD just spins really fast and loud for 20 seconds, then it stops and nothing happens.

any suggestions?

When CD stops it's fast spin, try pressing X again.

maybe your image didn't have SYSTEM.CNF set to LBA 12231

i got the media player from the ps2 reality media player english. when i had got the files that they gave u i didnt get how to put the file in so all i did was look for the media player elf and put it into my usb pen drive and transfer it to my mc then i copy it to my hdd. the problem is that when i hit play on the media player it loads for llike 1 sec then it got back to the menu so does that mean that i need to either get a swap magic or gs or action replay to play the movie or is there something that i am missing.

Since there's already a thread here, I'll post my problem - rather than creating a whole new one.

I downloaded the mc exploit version (actually, a couple different ones), but it just won't boot up for me. I use KeyLauncher, btw, and it seems like it wants to boot something, but I just get a black screen. Do I need another file with it, or do I need to try booting it from a different program?

trying to run PS2 media player from KL... I can't get it to run either... nor MP3 player... I use Launch ELf to load them... and from the HDD makes things run....

if you load ps2media off the MC, and you don't have a modchip, you will need to swap in a valid ps2 _CD_. note CD. then swap in your divx cd using flip lid, slide card, etc etc. then you can hit "browser" or whatever to play your movie

which is the mc exploit version? lol there is 1.28e or 1.5b, 1.5b being the latest version. just extract the PS2MEDIA.ELF from PS2MEDIA.RAR and run it with keylauncher

Both my versions were 1.50, but one was from KaylaKaze's website.

I got it to boot from Launchelf, but I don't really see the point still. I threw a couple discs at it (swapped with fliptop) but it said they were all invalid. They were all XviD. I burned them like regular data discs. Am I supposed to burn them diffrently? I have a whole collection of movies I was hoping to not have to stick in my computer to watch.
