its about that time for a computer driver/program to work with a ps2hdd formatted drive.

but once the ps2reality media player second edition comes out, you should be able to move media to the hdd via network and cd. So you might be able to move data FROM the hdd to network (ie: computer)

yeah I just had a thought today, maybe someone could make an FTP server application for the PS2? that would definately be interesting but getting it to read the filesystems and make them accessable as folders or something.

well as some reasearch also shows there is something else needed to use just whatever hard drive on the PS2... DMS3 Hdd format tool sees the HDD and in fact formats it! however the PS2 HDD Install Disc (from the US FFXI kit) doesnt see the drive... some think this is a firmware issue I am curious as to what it really is...

not sure if im understand correctly but, of course the official install disc will not see an unofficial drive. The DMS3 tool, will format an unofficial drive. (apparently)

wtf powerkid...can you read? i was saying that the various xbox servers and network applications are better and easier because of the simple fact that xbox is more PC than ps2.

I was also saying that ps2vfs is hard. see the "first ps2vfs has to be perfected"....yeah, that means that its NOT perfect right now.

    get off my nuts buddy.
