Well, PS2 games as I am sure you know refer to games for the Playstation 2. PSX games of course refer to games being designed for the future Playstation 10, remember that commercial that came out during the initial release of playstation 2 that was for the Playstation 9, well now they are working on the Playstation 10. LOL, naw I am just having a little fun, but there seriously were commercials that showed all this really cool virtual reality stuff that was for the "PS9" and then they said something like the future starts here and showed the PS2. Seriously though PSX games generally refers to the games released for the original playstation and the current PS One, although I have also seen it used to just refer to all PS games including PS2.
As far as ripping a game goes it refers to the removal of the game code from an original game so that it can be used in some format other than the original (be it DVDR, CDR, or whatever).
Anybody was able to understand that part?? WTF:)Quote:

sure, it's just a joke. since the original poster doesnot know the difference between ps/ps2, he is mocking on him.
No, he is rightly pointing out that PS2 is the most overhyped console in the history of everything. Sony promised us with Ken Kuturagis own words: "Our goal is to achieve a film-like graphics quality that won't make viewers conscious of or annoyed by the fact that they are indeed looking at computer graphics". BULLSHIT ALL THE WAY.
More bullshit from mr kuturagi when asked about how powerful PS2 will be: "Current (1998) parameters cant cope with the technology leap planned by Sony" Jesus!
Then in march 1999 Sony went on to show "PS2 demos" with graphics that the real PS2 will never be able to even remotely match. Bullshit one more time.
In reality what we got was a console that has difficulty in even matching the 1½ years older Dreamcast. The US dreamcast launchgame Soul Calibur still looks better than any fighting game released on PS2.
PS2 launchgames was the biggest pile of rubbish ever, and there basically wasnt anything to play on the machine for NINE months.
PS2 have improved greatly since, some of it's latest games look good, and with all sorts of emulators, divxplayers ect it is still a great console to own. But it will never be able to live up to what was promised. *remembers the also greatly overhyped piece of trash N64*
I don't think anything you've said had anything to do about this guy question.
A PSX game is a game for the old Playstation or PS ONE. PS2 game are game for the Playstation 2 system.
Ripping is the action of removing content of a DVD game to make it fit on a CD-R.
