PS2 controller info and status (?)

Hello all,

I am developing an interface between a microcontroller and the PS2 and I need to be able to access to the controller info and status, i.e. displaying button states and pressures, joystick position, etc.

Is there any application (elf file, lua, etc.) that can do this? It would be really helpful for my purposes.
