As far as I have heard, there is a 30 day limit.

Nice job KarasQ!I hope this will be successful!BTW I tried installing Windows 2000,and you know what?It took 1 whole day to copy the files (dead serious) and it didn't even (teh first boot, after text install) boot! (or maybe it would if I left my PS2 on for a week) I removed the 32MB limit with nLite,so I was able to initiate the installation.

If you could store the emulator to virtual (swap) memory (the stuff that loads in the RAM by default),would we get more ram (64MB),or the emulation would be too slow?Or vice-versa,to make swap for the virtual machine (yeah,I know what TnA said, but on HDD,would it be any faster)?

    Thanks KarasQ,
I managed to make a bootable dvd livedisk with this that runs with esr, for a test I used kolibri os floppy image and it loaded very slowly. So I then tested a windows version of bochs with a windows 98 hd image and my 2.4 ghz processor was at 100%
even just running dos it is still at 100%
I tried using dosidle exe but it did not work.
I am very interested in emulation for ps2 and there are many old dos and windows games that do not run on scummvm for ps2,
I was hopeful that bochs would run them, maybe its because I dont have internal harddrive for my ps2 that bochs is running so slow, or maybe it is because of some config settings or compilation problems are causing bochs to run slow?
Am now thinking of trying dosbox ps2 build, just tested a couple of different builds for the pc and one runs the cpu at 25%
    the other at near idle.
I am starting to think that the only feasible way to play games like phantasmagoria and harvester on the ps2 is to port them over,
but how to go about this I do not know.

My goal is to be able to run a dvd that boots into dos and runs a portable version of a dos game.
So basically something like bochs elf would boot from a dvd into dosmode and run dukenukem 3d via a bat file,
this would be great as porting the games is something I have no knowledge of.
Do you or anybody here know how to port games?, what tools I would need etc?
Also has anyone tried wine with blackrhino unix to run windows games if so how are the speeds.
Maybe I should just get a ps3 and install vmware!

Anyways thanks again for all your great work!
Out of curiosity how did you port this and was it easy to do? and do you need a lot of programming knowledge?, maybe you could do a tutorial. I would love to be able to port apps for ps2, something like johntheripper elf.

EDIT: just tried to boot winternals erdline disk commander (stripped down windows xp rescue disk)
bochs did not like it, ran out of memory.
Next I try to make bootable backtrack cd for ps2.

I just realised that I had an error in my bochsrc file
My bochs boot dvd was running an image from a usb stick DUH, I will try it with a hdd image on the dvd and see how that works out. I am thinking this could be the answer to all of my prayers.

wouldnt that code "x86-64 support: no" stop BOCHS from using Windows XP and similar OSes from being able to boot because im fully sure that MSwin Platforms need access to a
x86-64 type CPU either quad-core, single core or dual core?

Heya Drekelz im very interested in PS2 modding and to tell you about the Win 3.1 no-USB support i dont think win 3.1 has FULL USB support you might want to try out DSL OS (damn small linux Opersting System) on the PS2 cause also PS2's dont have very fast USB ports , so thats why the ps2 cpu load will be 100% because its using as much CPU speed as it can so it can load everything up. try waiting a while for it to fully load the desktop and stuff if it doesnt work then im sorry i cant help you with that

For the same question,I plug the usb keyboard into PS2 USB but it doesn't work.
How to use the usb keyboard for operation?
I try the MS-DOS operator interface.
