I hate to ask, but my situation is kind of odd. My eject button is beyond repair. But my drive is fully functional. I was hoping that there is a way to add a simple eject syscall in the function list so that people like myself have a way to open the drive without removing the beizel on the front for any drive use. If you can't, I'll perfectly understand, but I'd figure I could ask. Worst I could get is a no. Thanks!

actually, I had a second thought. If possible, it doesn't even have to be a part of uLE. It could be a stand alone program once run, does a simple eject syscall much like the CB_launch.elf does the OSDSYS call to return to FMCB. Doesn't need a GUI or anything.

That would be useful. It could, in theory, be useful in slims too if it was possible to make the ps2 check for a disc again as if the tray had been opened. I also would love to see a VMC manager sometime too as I think the current method is a bit slow and ineffective. For me at least.

I've moved these posts from the uLE thread since the idea has evolved from a simple function within uLE to a simple program of itself.

What version PS2 console do you have? Ive never seen that on any of mine, i only see X Enter O Back, pressing triangle did nothing.
    PS2 Consoles:
    SCPH-30001 [V4] - unmodded (2)
    SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE
    SCPH-50001-N [V9] CC 2.0 SLE
    SCPH-79001 [V16] Silver - unmodded

If I remember correctly there was the option to do so in CDLoader where you press triangle and the tray would open I do remember it being in one of the old HDProject MCEmulator v1.07 I think, so the code should be there, it might just take a moment out of a willing programmers life to make it happen

What about a remote? But there are at least 2 different models, so you would have to find one with power and eject button.

Here is a list with remote codes for PS2, there is eject:
    Sony PS2 (26.218)

I personaly tested all the codes form that list, but only on a Slim PS2 so I could use everything except eject.

Note that there is power, power on and power off. First one works like holding the power button on the console, but the other two work every single moment. You can turn off even after half a second, before boot animation. I haven't seen these two buttons on any remote.

EDIT: Here is that model with interesting note about compatibility.

Mine is a V7. And I don't have any IR unit for it nor do I really want to track one down that a simple 5KB file can do.
