Problems softmodding ps2 with 007 agent under fire method.

Hi, recently ive been attempting to softmod my ps2 using the agent under fire method ive done everything the guide has told me but when i run the driving level and swap the disks nothing happens and the screen stays black. I figured this was because i was using a dvd-rw so i ran out and got a dvd-r like the guide entails. upon repeating this i encountered the same problem the screen just stayed black i checked if all my files were correct i re did the process but still no luck. i would greatly appreciate any help , ive been working at this for the last 15 hours and im at my wits end. Maybe if some one can send me a better detailed guide or anything to why this happens i would be very thankful.

does no one know?

1 will your ps2 run official PS2 games especially dual layer
2 did you get cheap DVD if so probably problem right there try these http://psx-scene.com/forums/f164/ver...st-esr-104622/
3 did you match the uLE toc with the elf you removed so the ps2 did not detect it was replaced
4 and very important for most swap trick is did you swap it fast enough or at right time ;)

im pretty sure i did all of those things on the list , can you possibly send me your instructions on how to softmod it? thank you for your help :D

I real don't have any instructions
I use SwapMagic to do my installs and don't like the swap trick don't like to harm my PS2 physically
