I was wondering if there is any way to play PS2 imports PAL/JAP on my NTSC ps2 using the original disc using a program that i can run with fmcb. I know i can use ESR, but i would like to use the original disc and if i am going to back up the game using imgburn, i would rather use OPL and a USB HDD instead of the burning a bunch of discs. I could buy swapmagic, but spending any money will be the last last resort. Is there any way to play ps2 imports without using ESR, OPL, HDLoader, modchip, or swapmagic but still use the original disc. thanks

sorry but No. For imports best bet would be to first use OPL or HD Loader if you don't want to waist any money. Swap Magic would work great just like normal but you would pay. HD Loader and OPL will have choppy videos so only gameplay with them. ESR will only be a little slower then the original disc by 2-3 seconds in loading

Yeah, the easiest is OPL but you can order Swap Magic and make a .ELF file of the SM disc and just load up the .ELF with your import in and then you can use the original disc like that.
    I'm no noob, I just don't post much :P

LOL mrjared123, that won't work! Unless you have the original in the game tray while your loading the .elf file

All you need is a sensor mod and do the swap trick to play imports. look it up. and to be even safer, you could cogswap, regionswap, or swapmagic .elf to actually stop the disc making it easier to swap discs. I dont know why member neglect these methods just becuase there old, even tho they are still efective, especially if no better method has been presented.
