Samson & Aries2k have released a new version of the PGEN (A Sega Genesis / Megadrive) Emulator for the PS2.

* This version features new music and backgrounds!

* Also it is now more compatible with PS3 systems which are backwards compatible!

Attached is the complied ELF and the updated source files.

Cool. No more psxloader for loading Pgen on the ps3.

It works nice so far, too bad it lost HDD support. Ah, to be honest I didn't like the new background so much. The original one could stay imo.

excellent progress but still have some bad glitches like lagging in games like aladdin and mortal kombat 3,umk3 is not playable...............

unfortunately, i can not seem to get it to work in high def on my ps2, i only have the HD cables so im stuck

Hm.. PS3 subforum huh

There's a huge list of PGEN builds on the SKS Apps page. And there's a description saying that it will also emulate Sega Master System

And so I made a directory with some .sms files, but no dice. PGEN is not listing them. Wrong format ? Or version ? I'm just using the v1.51 version as advertised here..

But there's other versionless archives.. Codemasters ? ABCD ? 48-bit patch ? Packed ? Do I need em instead ? Are my SMS roms the wrong format ?
