PGEN Problem
OK, I'm having troubles using PGEN (1.2 I think)...
I made a 256mb partition named +PGENSP using the DMS HDD Format Tool...
I transferred a bunch of Genesis roms using WS_FTP Pro to my PS2 HDD (160gb Maxtor) connected with ExecFTP 0.69...
The files all seemed to transfer without problem...but when I try to load some of them I get a notice saying something along the lines of "A Serious problem occurred at 001@####" I'll press the Start button but it just changes the numbers...
I've tried deleting the partition and starting over, but it keeps happening...anyone got experience with this???

the files are probably corrupted. theres a problem with the tcp stack which corrupts some files (current issue).
try transfering the same roms using a USB key(if you have one available) and see if that improves the situation.

The only USB key that I have is a heft 16mb MaxDrive one...but I'll give it a whirl...
-
For me ftp made 16384 empty folders named A....
Memory stick helped.

Sorry for my ignorance, but how do I transfer roms from the memory stick to the PS2 HDD???

whne i load pgen from hdd and place roms which are in bin format int hte same folder the only thing that happens is that theloading sign remains is there something else that i have to do first??????????
-
the files should be in smc/smd format. i can't remember the filie extension, but i dont remember using bin files.

In the same folder?
The clue is to put the ROMs in a folder on a partition that is browsable from PGEN.

I wish some made a harddisk loading option for MAME and SNES-Station too!

you can use bins in pgen too just put the bin of the game in a compressed zipper folder
