Hey ya'll, awesome site, and hopefully someone here has some awesome information regarding my slightly annoying dilemma here; I am booting the latest Pgen as in the title from USB drive via uLaunchElf via FMCB, and whilst the speed is incredible w/ the Cell option, the sound is "buzzy" - as in when sound is played, there's a layer of static/buzz accompanying it :ew:

Now, the strange thing is, version 1.51 worked brilliant in terms of sound, but the speed was of course slower than desired than this latest CodeJunkies-optimized release.

    Any thoughts ?o?

Also, WHY THE HELL ISN'T THERE A DEDICATED Pgen subforum?

No, just one other one w/ a game that's not completely HD Loader compatible.

Is there anyone out there who has helpful information?

    ORLY?
TimeSplitter: Future Perfect,Jak & Daxter, Half-Life (PAL), t3h PAL version (taken from your other posts)
    you tried OPL yet?

    now back your problem

    Is your PS2 modded?
what video/audio cable are you using?
What type TV and Manufacturer/Model you have?
What Genesis game are you trying to play?

There should not major different between CJ version & mod 1.51 both based on 1.2.

lastest of the PGEN and SNES emulators

Jak & Daxter work fine, same w/ TimeSplitters apart from the cutscenes, everything else is golden.

PS2 is running FMCB, no mod chip, component cable, using VGA box for LCD computer screen (that wouldn't matter anyways, as my sound system is a reference grade studio monitor setup), and all Genesis games experience this, though v1.51 are crystal clear

I have a GameCube w/ component cables, and given the Gamecubes more powerful, runs N64 emulator at full speed, and runs Genesis Plus w/ at a seemingly solid 60 FPS w/o any hick ups, that's going to probably be the system I go w/ in the end, BUT!, I would like to solve this quirky PS2 issue.

I have NOT tried Open Loader, I just might though.

How often this buzz noise occurrent?
    you use audio hardware system?
are speakers separate or attach to monitor?

sounds like some type of frequency interferences, between video and audio going out causing the buzz sound.

    sorry, I'm no tech guy.

Some VERY interesting discoveries: There's NO buzzing what so ever running Half-Life whilst using the GS Mode Selector in VGA mode, however Pgen still buzzes Haha, I think there is something else at play and not just Pgen, but V1.51 has only SO low of buzzing that virtually there's NO buzzing. At all, and I mean "SO low" as in like maybe it only happens 5% of the time on some games and not others and basically inaudible.

So yeah, Pgen Codejunkies still buzzing out , Doh! Will look into further!
