if i remember right in the alpha 0.2 public release there was a bug with the usbd.irx files and dev modes. if you load from devolution mode ps2os it can't load the usbd.irx (from hdloader or cd it work correctly). now in the internal release this bug is corrected

this is true...

does anyone have info or a download link (binary) to the modified USBD.IRX that is designed for use with older usb sticks? i have a little 32mb one, and since i'm poor, i can't offord a better one.

Well I just tested an external hard drive I had. It was a 40 gig WD in a WD case and it worked with usbtest. It was fat32 format and it showed me all the files and folders that were on it. Now I just want to know how to manage the files from on my hard drive from my ps2.

Sandisk Imagemate 8 in 1 works on AR max EVO.
Tested with 128MB CF.

Dazzle USB2.0 SD Card Reader w Panasonic 256MB SD Card. Works, tested with USBTest.elf and Keylauncher 4.0, upgraded ****+ firmware via USB mass.

XLogic XL833A 256mb MP3 Player works with AR MAX EVO, but not PS2OS, might work if you use the USBD.IRX from ARMAXEVO in the PS2OS config folder but i haven't tried it yet.
Quick note: ARMAXEVO wont show any other files on this card other than the .max save file format or ones created with EVO itself which is just fine if all you want to do is transfer saves off the net, or use as a memory card backup.
