I wanted to get this program, but Drak's site is down. Does anybody have the Win32 command line or front end of this program?

Here are the umcd-r files for you.
File REMOVED at author's request.
Thank you! Check your PM's.
Actually, Drak's site isn't down. He only removed the pages for UMCDR. Drak still has his site at http://makeshift.halifrag.com/ . It was only a matter of time before Drak removed the UMCDR pages. The downloads for UMCDR were removed from Drak's site during April 2004 because Hermes of PS2 Reality made a blantant rip-off of UMCDR so Drak removed the downloads of UMCDR during April 2004. He removed the UMCDR downloads because he didn't want it being used for Warez.Originally Posted by red_icculus
While I'm on the subject does any one have the umcdrDev.zip which used to be on Drak's site, if you do please attach it to your post.

I was wondering . . .
I was browsing the AR Max disc and noticed they used UMCRD for the media discs. I came across the phrase "Drak's library" in the hex editor.
Strange, eh?
Some other people also found the info you mention so it does seem that Datel used UMCDR in their AR MAX which loads up homebrew software. This was also mentioned at http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=311Originally Posted by red_icculus

Couldn't find umcdrdev.zip for you either. Good luck, will let you know if I come across it.
You didn't perpetrate any nastiness asking for UMCDR. I still believe that UMCDR is a great program & I had high hopes for it but the problem is anytime you make a program which opens up the PS2DEV doors by allowing homebrew software to load on unmodified PS2's such as PS2 Independence Exploit & UMCDR, et al, Hermes uses it for trying to load up warez.Originally Posted by red_icculus
umcdrdev.zip is a replacement for cddvd.irx (or is it cdvd.irx) which allows any homebrew app which uses this irx to support UMCDR.
AR ripped off UMCDR straight from Drakonite's source, they didn't even bother changing the checks that can be seen in certain HEX values. UMCDR had great potential and this is indeed a sad event in ps2 development.
well the author is the one who droped the development so only he is responsible.
