Nport and nport index generator
Nport and nport index generator –
Ok, I've gotten this far without a hiccup, I have InLink on my PC running Nport and pukklink booting successfully on my v7 PS2 using swap magic and then the cogswaploader to boot it. They seem to communicate fine and all, just one problem.
I can back up my PS2 saves fine, and then put them back on the memory card, but when I download a save offline I cannot put it on the memory card. I convert it with save slicer to make it .npo, then I use the index generator to update the index, but when I go to copy that downloaded save from the Hosts side to the MC side, I get an error. First error is cannot open file, then after a few more trys it says save file already exists. So I reboot the PS2 and go into the built in MC browser to double-check the "save file" that already exists, and it's just 1KB of curropted data. Note, it's not the downloaded save file that's the problem, I've tied several different ones and they all do this. Sooo, any suggestions folks? I've searched the forum, but can't seem to get a clear answer or problem like this.
upon further tries, still nothing....anything anyone?
edit: Ok, to anyone who may have the same problem, I figured out what needs to be done. I cleared out my nport saves directory of everything except the index generator and the save I wanted to transfer and the npo-x.exe thing. Then I created a new index with just the one save I wanted to transfer. Transfered fine. Must have been a corrupt save file or something that I had backed up earlier causeing a problem in the new index I would try to create, dunno.
