All good, had I seen the this thread first I probly would have posted here instead of starting a new.
I might try giving some of the hex editing stuff a try since a fresh hdd, would be nice to have a better understanding of whats going on here half the time, rather then waiting for something to be released, tho I wish someone would, hint hint, lol.
very exciting stuff, already got a list of games forming in my head.
Personally, I'll still be waiting for someone to release a homebrew Playstation emulator, as we all know that this POPS emulator contains copyrighted code... so distributing it is probably actually not too legal (Even though they pulled the plug on it).
Not to mention that it isn't going to be easy to fix the bugs that it has, although it's already quite good.
Offtopic: I've sent you a reply about your GBA emulator a few days ago. Did you get it?

To still be copy righted in the USA you have to keep it up so not sure of Fony did![]()

Is how all good gaming systems came to beOkay I want to get started on this, but I really need some help as I haven't messed with some of this stuff before.
Can someone tell me if Im on the right track here, I first need to format the drive in the normal hdl format, then I will use the hacked ULE to create a partion containing PP.POPs
Here is were I kinda get lost, (I haven't actually tried any of this yet, just preparing too) Where then does the image go? or will it be more common sense one I have ran through these steps first
Lets just say find what Jay-Jay said google for the instructions are in their but I am still in the process of trying it![]()

Is how all good gaming systems came to beYesterday i read this, i exchange my game-HDD with an old 40GB HDD that i found, to test it....
I must say, i donīt found any thread how i must use it....
I found the tut but in the tut i donīt find how to use exactly (what to do with the game-rom.bin).
The tut goes from the "execute.elf" directly to the OSD-launcher....but i donīt want the launcher, i want to know how i can use this with other roms....
After some hours i found it out then....
I tried it with "crash-bash".
1.With PS2PSXe this rom leaks on the screen-resolution and it stuttering.....
2.With the POPs it loads much faster, donīt stutter, but the characters like crash & co are blinking....![]()
And not to forget, in tut stays....:
It works with the original "EXECUTE.ELF" that is in the package for the inserted game....2. If your game is not Japan, you need to edit the game's Licence data to Japan.
To do so, just copy all of "Japan Game Licence.data" and add it over the start of your game img/bin.
Make sure to do "Paste write"
If your game is Japan then you don't need to do this, as its on.
I tried then with my own" EXECUTE.ELF" (inserted SCPH-7502-Bios) and crash-bash original PAL, but it donīt work....
And i followed the other tut...:
P.S: But i donīt give up. I test and test......Repace it with a console BIOS dump. Console BIOS dumps have garbage at the EOF. Do not copy the shit after 0x7FF90 (after "Copyright 1993,1994,1995 (C) Sony Computer Entertainment Inc"), it does not fit the POPS binary.
The BIOS you put in the emulator must match the game region (examples : SCPH-3000 + NTSC U/C MYDUMP.BIN, SCPH-7502 + PAL MYDUMP.BIN...) or the game will not boot.![]()
exactly this, as of yet there is no tut, and everything on video or in txt is very vague.
Im in the process of giving it a first shot using my own trial and error at the moment, but to be honest I don't even know if I have the file structure or partitioning correct.
unfortunately Crash Bash is one game that isn't working on POPS (there is several games like Crash Team Racing, Diablo, Tekken 3... that doesn;t work too).
As for tuts - there is still WIP. Maybe maybe soon will be released tool for converting images from .cue/.bin into POPS format but before this you have to try to get it without any tutorials (for example you never find the tut for making CD tracks working).
